Hey, I’m Ronnie – a daydreamer, cat mum, and artist bringing colour and harmony to everyday life through illustration and pattern. I believe art is more than decoration—it’s connection. It tells a story, creates a mood, and helps people feel something real. And in a world that can feel so noisy and rushed, I’m proud to create gentle, joyful visuals that bring a sense of calm, colour, and meaning.

My Story
I learned to draw and paint when I was just a little girl, sitting beside my dad with a paintbrush in hand. One of my earliest paintings (of my very cheeky parrot, Bobo!) actually won an international children’s competition – and I never forgot how good it felt to make something that made people smile.
But like many creative kids, I was gently nudged away from art as I grew up. “You can’t make a living from it,” they said. So I explored other paths, eventually building a career in marketing and communications – work that taught me a lot about storytelling, design strategy, and how to connect with an audience. But something always felt missing. I kept circling back to creative projects in my spare time—crafting, painting, always looking for something more fulfilling.
Then along came Sia, my first cat and accidental muse. I started designing a Christmas card each year featuring her, just for family and friends. I had so much fun creating, and people started looking forward to their yearly cards. In 2023, I stumbled across an ad for a surface pattern design workshop – and it was like someone lit a match in my head. Suddenly I saw a possibility. An adventure that really excited me. A vision of myself in the future, doing what I loved. It was strange to realise that I’ve been looking for something that I’ve had all along, but it also just felt.. right.
I haven’t looked back since.
I’m now creating work inspired by the beauty and magic of nature—florals, foliage, salty sea air, the quiet charm of the woods. My style swings between bold and delicate, depending on the day and the mood, but it’s always rooted in colour, connection, and childlike wonder. Most of my artwork is painted digitally, though I still love the feel of traditional brushes when inspiration strikes.
In 2024, I found my wonderful mentor, Cass Deller, and completed her surface pattern design course. It gave me the confidence and structure I needed to keep growing, along with real-world skills in Photoshop, InDesign and industry know-how. Since then, I’ve opened my Etsy shop, sharing a playful collection of illustrated greeting cards and prints—sparked by the antics of my two ragdoll cats, Sia and Felix.
